How long you’ve been with RJC/Children’s Health?
I’m a newbie to Children’s Health and started at Rees-Jones Center in September 2023.

Where did you grow up?
This has always been a tough question for me; you have to specify at what point! I was born in Louisiana and moved across the U.S. 13 times before graduating high school in Michigan. My family is originally from Arkansas where we still have a large family farm. I call Texas and Arkansas “home”.

Where did you go to college/school?
DePauw University in Indiana for undergrad and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio for my graduate studies.

Favorite food or restaurant?
I love Thai and Italian food. Favorite restaurants include Golden Thai (Keller) and Café Italia (Grapevine).

Favorite book:
I am an avid reader and enjoy genres from young adult to historical fiction to romcoms. Favorite authors include Roald Dahl, Rick Riordan, Jojo Moyes, Kristin Hannah and Christina Lauren.

What is your favorite sports team?
Cincinnati Reds or the Cincinnati Bengals, depending on the season!

What song would you sing at karaoke?
Anything Whitney Houston!

Favorite part of working at RJC:
Working with kids experiencing foster care or adoption has been on my heart since I was in high school. While I took a break from this work to stay home with my kids for a few years, I’m so thankful to be back doing what I love – making life at little bit better for kids that have experienced hard times.

Favorite activities outside of work:
Playing with my kids and 2 dogs, golfing with my husband and hanging out with friends! I love tending to my garden and reading when I have a spare minute.

Favorite quote:
“Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.” – Unknown
