How to prepare for your child’s testing appointment:

  • Testing visits take several hours (4-8 hours). A parent or guardian must be present for the entire visit.

  • Breaks will be provided. Depending on the time and duration of the visit this may include a break for lunch. You are welcome to bring snacks and/or lunch and drinks. Check the Children’s Health Mobile app or childrens.com for food options available at your appointment location.

  • We recommend that your child eat something before the appointment.

  • Make sure your child is well rested and gets a full night of sleep prior to testing.

  • Your child should take all medications as prescribed.

Don’t forget to bring the following items to the appointment:

  • Glasses, hearing aids or other assistive devices

  • Light sweater or jacket (our clinic may be chilly at times)

  • School records (examples: evaluation reports, report card, 504, IEP/ARD/special education paperwork)

  • Any previous evaluation reports to share with your child’s provider
